This morning I awoke to a beautiful sight – my mother’s Burned Caramel Cake on https://www.momlovesbaking.com/old-fashioned-southern-burn…/ . There is a funny story behind it but this one today on Lise Ode’s blog (followed by thousands) is sentimental. This very popular Mom Loves Baking baker extraordinaire, created this cake today, but it was defined by Helen Archer’s love and talent. I thank you, Lise especially during this Fall time of holiday baking but also because seventeen years ago this month, my mother left my side. This recipe is another warm reminder of her.
