Don’t Try This At Home

“Don’t Try This At Home” (or go ahead, what do I care?)

Dentists, you’ve been warned. I am about to explain why I was not a billable unit for you.
I had help from a high school classmate who wore braces. This fellow student daily contributed two rubber bands from his elastic band collection if one or more should break during school. While we sat in our 9th grade hour-long French I classroom, he gave me two bands which I placed around my four front teeth. Thinking if I just wrapped up my front two teeth, I’d cause another gap somewhere else in the lineup. I wore those elastic bands around my teeth during that hour for JUST TWO WEEKS and my front gap closed without opening another. And never showed up again.
Let’s do the math from this math word problem – one hour a day X ten school days = zero dollars.
Thank you, #johnfountain
